The firm specializes in development consulting (service provision) including policy analysis, proposal development, projects management, baselines, project reviews and evaluations and specialized assessments in the fields of agriculture and rural development, climate change, environment and natural resources management, disaster risk management, social and community development, and human rights and governance.

He has over 20 years of professional experience leading program and project teams in delivering poverty alleviation and socioeconomic development initiatives in Malawi and Southern Africa. He is the Policy and Technical Advisor (Consultant) on Development and Institutionalization of Business Incubation in Malawi at Jobs for Youth Project in the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Previously, he led a Team of experts towards the formulation of business incubation policy and legal framework based on the existing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) policy in the Ministry of Youth Development and Welfare funded by UNDP. He led policy review and budget analysis on child poverty disparities under the UNICEF-supported Global Study on Child Poverty and Disparities’ commissioned by the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development in 2012. The analysis focused on the impacts of the economic and budgetary disparities on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, child labour, disability, health, education, food and nutrition security, income generation, social protection and information. In addition, he has conducted budget sector review for the Child Protection System in Malawi - a study commissioned by UNICEF (2012) and the budget sector review of the Local Development Fund (2011).
He has successfully completed over 20 consulting assignments with Government, international and national NGOs and research institutions, where he has applied economic tools and models in policy design and analysis, program/project designs and evaluation and feasibility studies.

Since June, 2020, he has worked as Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist with the Malawi Millennium Development Trust responsible for the development of the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s second compact for Malawi.
Previously, he led CADECOM’s design and execution of community managed disaster risk management, climate change and resilience building, early warning systems, agri-entrepreneurship, gender & women economic empowerment interventions. He is skilled in the preparation of Disaster Management Plans including hazard mapping and disaster vulnerability assessments. He vast experience supporting local authorities in matters relating to disaster risk reduction and management.

Prof. Kapute has carried out numerous field studies that includes designing research methodology, conducting literature reviews and producing publications highlighting key findings and conclusions. As an academician with vast field experience, he has organized and implemented several agricultural, food security, socio economic, environmental & social impact assessment etc. surveys with partners both local and international. All these assignments involve designing and testing survey tools as well as training enumerators prior to and during field work. As an academician supervising numerous research projects with over scientific publications, he has vast understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods and experience in training groups of people using adult learning principles.
Monitoring and evaluation of projects specifically in survey design, data collection and data management in aquaculture or a similar environment are also part of his expertise. Other assignments done has been in fisheries value chain where he worked as a Principal investor of two big projects in Zomba (aquaculture project) and Nkhotakota (capture fisheries project), working with different stakeholders and dealing with varied challenges and other issues such as local environment and community dynamics. He has experience of effective interaction with local and national institutions, government departments, and smallholder farmers.

She has been providing consulting services as Local Governance Finance Specialist (Consultant) to Jobs, Skills and Finance programme for women and youth in The Gambia under the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) in collaboration with International Trade Centre (ITC). The programme is supporting the Government of Gambia to create jobs, skills and access to financial inclusion for women and youth particularly migrants from West Africa. Previously she had also worked as a Technical Advisor for an integrated programme on Right to Food and Women Empowerment implemented through 8 local NGOs across Malawi. He has over 15 years of work experience as civil/construction/site/design engineer for national and international agencies including projects financed by Government of Malawi, World Bank, AfDB and EU. Since 2016, he has been consulting with Government of Malawi on the World Bank funded Malawi Floods Emergency Recovery Project & Malawi Drought Recovery and Resilience Project.
He is in-charge of design, review, assessment monitoring and evaluation of rehabilitation, reconstruction and construction needs for flood-damaged infrastructure and new infrastructure including roads, heath centres (including houses for personnel), school blocks (including houses for personnel), water supply, water resources and irrigation. His tasks include coordinating evaluation processes through the entire project life cycle (proposals, designs, works and reports) for all construction related activities of the project. His skills include preparation of engineering designs, review of technical specifications for works to check conformity with Build Back Better concept, contract management, Environmental and Social safeguards, Monitoring and evaluation including resilience audits of engineering/construction works and Project management.
